A Week of Learning and Awareness on Digital Safety in Italy

As part of our Erasmus+ project, a 5-day international training event was successfully held in Rome, Italy, focusing on raising awareness and building competences among students, teachers, and parents about online safety, ethics, and digital citizenship.

The event’s central theme was: “Be Safe in the Digital World!”
Target groups included students aged 11–18, educators, and families from the three partner countries.
The objective: to help participants understand digital risks, adopt responsible online behaviour, and create a safe digital environment through collaborative learning.

👦 For Students:

  • Understanding and Preventing Digital Threats: Phishing, scams, and social engineering
  • Creating Strong Passwords and Safe Browsing Habits
  • Addressing Cyberbullying and Developing Online Etiquette
  • Recognising Digital Footprints and Their Long-term Impacts
  • Media Literacy Workshops: Fact-checking and detecting fake news
  • Interactive Digital Games and Safety Quizzes

  • Digital Safety Strategies for the Classroom
  • Designing and Delivering Safe Digital Learning Materials
  • Parental Collaboration for eSafety Guidance

  • Techniques to Guide Children’s Online Experiences

📢 Dissemination and Impact

Throughout the week, students worked on creating short educational videos that reflected what they learned. These will be shared on blogs, school websites, and social media channels in their home countries.

All training sessions, photos, and materials were also documented and shared through the project’s official site and via local Italian media, expanding the impact of the event to a wider audience.
