A Week of International Learning on Digital Safety

As part of our Erasmus+ project, an impactful 5-day international training event was held in Burgas, Bulgaria. Bringing together students, teachers, and parents, the event aimed to promote a safer and more conscious approach to digital life across three countries.

The theme of the week was “Be Safe in the Digital World!”, focusing on equipping all participants with the tools, awareness, and skills needed to navigate the online environment responsibly.


👨🏫 Who Attended and What Was Covered?

👦 For Students:

  • Phishing and Social Engineering Awareness: How to identify and respond to common online scams
  • Password Safety & Secure Browsing Practices: Hands-on exercises
  • Cyberbullying and Online Behaviour: Role-playing and case discussions
  • Digital Footprint Awareness: Understanding the long-term impact of online activities
  • Media Literacy: Fact-checking, fake news detection, and critical consumption
  • Interactive Games & Quizzes on digital citizenship

  • Digital Safety Strategies: How to embed them in everyday teaching
  • Safe Educational Content Creation and Sharing
  • Collaborating with Parents on eSafety
  • Using technology responsibly in education
  • Exploring international good practices in digital literacy

  • How to Manage Children’s Online Activities Safely
  • Digital Communication Techniques for Parents
  • Using parental control tools effectively
  • Online Etiquette and Family Agreements
  • Raising awareness on children’s digital rights and data protection

📢 Dissemination and Community Impact

Throughout the event, students began preparing short educational videos to share what they’ve learned. These will be published on blogs, school websites, and social media platforms to continue the awareness campaign in their home countries.

All training sessions, visuals, and materials were documented and will be published on the project’s official website and through local media coverage in Bulgaria, amplifying the impact of the event beyond its five days.
